Hi,

Thanks again.

As I have ham handed slogged through this,I did find on Ancestry.com military pensions that Andrew did indeed have a Revolutionary War pension.

I think a lot of the confusion comes from the shifting county lines which created Perry Co in 1820.

The oldest child of Andrew and Mary was Catherine Burd who married John Grubb about 1811. Here is where it gets tricky. The GEANEALOGIES OF PENNSYLVANIA FAMILIES has the Grubbs living in Coventry twp. which I think is now in Perry county but haven't found out for sure.

Most of my research in PA has been in Lancaster/Dauphin counties with my Uhler clan and York co with the Guntles [and is that surname misspelled in more ways that I can count] and in the 1820's-1880's with the Caprons and Barnes.

I am still trying to sort out the boundaries of Cumberland/Perry etc.and when they changed.

Thanks again.

mj
