John MAIZE & David & Benjamin Franklin TITLOW-TIDLOW-DIDLOW

Looking for ancestry of David and Benjamin Franklin Tid/Tit/Didlow. David Didlow first seen in Centre Co, PA, Haines twp census in 1830. Benjamin Franklin Tidlow b. abt 1818 Clinton Co, PA d. 1890 Clinton Co, PA.

David b. 1800 PA d. 1 May 1880 Centre Co, Penn twp. married bef 1825 Margaret ___ b. 16 Mar 1802 PA d. 29 Oct 1874 Centre Co, Penn twp. Daughter Mary Tidlow b. 1832 PA d. abt Feb 1874 PA married John MAIZE. Their daughter, Ella Maize, was born in Feb 1874.

In 1880 and 1900 Ella Maize lived with Benjamin Franklin and/or his spouse, Esther Hetty Allison, and was identified as their "niece." Taken literally, Ella was Benjamin's grand niece and David and Benjamin were brothers. Perhaps "niece" was a loose interpretation of her actual relationship to Benjamin, however, it seems there would still be a strong family relationship between David and Benjamin.

It appears previous researchers have been unable to determine Benjamin's ancestry. David's is a mystery, too.

Any help, greatly appreciated. Bonnie
