The 1900 census of Howard, Centre County, PA shows an Alice Long, born April 1885 as the daughter of Jacob, born Jan 1828 and Catherine, born July 1845. Living with them is his mother-in-law Elizabeth Maheffy, born Dec 1817.

Check with the Centre County Library in Bellefonte to see if they can help you. They have a very nice genealogical collection. They may be able to find a baptismal record for Sarah. I would bet that Sarah's obituary appeared in a Wetzel County newspaper if not a Centre County newspaper. If either Jacob or Catherine had an estate file it is most likely at the Centre County Register of Wills Office. Sarah's son Donald was probably included in the settlement of their estates assuming they outlived Sarah that is.
