Hello JL: Your Adam ULRICH may have been the eldest of four sons (Adam/b 1797, Samuel/b 1800, Michael/b 1803, & Daniel/b 1810) born to Christopher ULRICH (1774-1813) and Catharine SHOWERS/SHAUER (1778-1858). Both Christopher & Catherine were born in Dauphin Co PA & moved to Centre Co PA probably before 1800, but had many relatives back in Dauphin County. After the 1813 death and burial of Christopher Ulrich in Centre County, at least one of his sons (Daniel, age 3) returned to Dauphin County and was reared by relatives until he was 18, when he returned to Centre County. Adam may have also returned to Dauphin County because he does not appear in any Census of Centre County until the 4 August 1870 US Census for Spring Mills Post Office, Penn Township, Centre County, where Adam (Farmer, age 72) was enumerated with his wife Mary (age 70). I would be very interested to know more about this couple and their children.
Please contact me at Regards, -- George
