Included with an obit I received from the Dimmick Library which was posted on Saturday, Dec 7, 1895 was one for Simon Snyder of Towamensing. It states:
Simon Snyder, an old and respected farmer of Lower Towamensing died Monday afternoon, aged 79 years. Deceased had been a great suffer for about nine months with cancer of the stomach which caused the death. He leaves a wife and several grown children who mourn. Mrs. Wm Sherry, of Weissport, is a daughter. The funeral occurred on Thursday morning from his late residence at Lower Towamensing. "
