States: Pennsylvania: Carbon
I visit Peter Nothsteins gravesite often. My father is a Nothstein decendent and has taken on the responsibility of keeping the site clear. Every year at Memorial Day, the American Legion pays a visit to honor Peter for his service. He is the only known Revolutionary War hero buried in Carbon County. That would be a great time to pay a visit. The site is on the Chapel grounds off Rt 443 (also known as Blakeslee Blvd Drive West) There is a traffic light at the intersection with Fritz Valley Road. Directly behind the chapel there is a unmarked road off the right side of the road that leads up to the site.
By the way, if you see this, I'd love to know what you were told about Peter and why he is supposedly buried among indian grave sites. There are several stone markers up there that supposedly mark indian graves. I've read the Nothstein family history accounts back to the 1750-1950 edition and nowhere is it mentioned.
