I completely understand giving up because of the popularity of those names. It's like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

I can't remember if I mentioned that Mathew, my gggrandfather, came over on a separate ship than the rest of the family. The family story is that the ship sunk and no records were recovered. I haven't found him on the 1847 ship's manifest or on any other so I considered that a possibility. I'll keep my eye out for your Connors in case I come across them sometime!

Thanks for the information on Cornelius, Peter, John. I didn't know about them and you never know when that information is all going to come together (and I'm so hopeful it all will come together some day.) ;)
