I am trying to find an obit for a ELIZABETH HARTZ who possibly died Dec 28 1968 in Weatherly Carbon Co Pa. Husband would have been Forest HARTZ.
Back in 1960 when I was back home my Gauntt Gert Morrison nee Klee had me write down some of the history of the Klee family from Hazelton Pa and Germany. When she started out on her siblings of which there were 12 others she got to the 3rd child Elizabeth Christina Klee br Hazelton Pa 1895 She went on saying that she married a Forest HARTZ and lived in Weatherly Pa and died Dec 28 1968. All this is written down in a spiral notebook .....
However I think that Aunt Gert got her Elizabeths mixed up evidently...as this Elizabeth Klee did not marry and died Nov 26 1946 in Butler Pa. She was found in every census living with her father and some unmarried siblings in Butler Pa.
In trying to figure out which Elizabeth Klee she was refering to she also said that her Aunt Elizabeth Klee who came from Germany married a John VACK also from Germany and lived in Weatherely Pa.
This Elizabeth Klee came from Germany with Aunt Gerts father Valentine Klee my G Grandfather in 1890 to Hazelton Pa.
So when I started a Klee family tree on Ancestry.com I just put in what Aunt Gert said about her sister Elizabeth marrying Forest HARTZ.... recently I found a person doing the same HARTZ line and asked about his wife I found out that her name was not Klee but VACK. That was all they knew tho
Now when Elizabeth and John Vack married they had the following children
Katie Vack (Born: 1892)
Anna M Vack (Born: 1894)
John Vack (Born: 1895)
Andrew Vack (Born: 1899)
William Vack (Born: 1901)
Elizabeth Vack (Born: 1904) +++++++++++++++++++
Helen Vack (Born: 1909)
This Elizabeth Vack might be Forest Hartz's wife but I would need her obit to see what other names might be in it to prove it out. Census records state that Elizabeth HARTZ was born in 1904 Penn parents br Germany. Same as Elizabeth Vack
Where would I go to find an obit for her as when I went to the library site for Weatherly Pa I didn't find anything for genealogy and am at a complete lost as where to go next to find one.
Would appricate any help in obtaining an obit for her if possible to prove out what Aunt Gert said. It has to be her as where would Aunt Gert get the name Forest HARTZ a death date and Weatherly Pa from? This was back in the 1960s and Aunt Gert didn't do genealogy she used the scrapbook she had to tell me this which is now lost.
