Thank you- the person who checked for me a while ago could not see them in the 1910 or 1920 census and the only details I got were his wife Viola - and it would seem they did have at least 1 child if they had a grandaughter living with them in 1930!
Plus dates again do not add up. All fun and games of censuses!
He appears in censuses for England and Wales up to and including 1901 - so somewhere along the line more porkies or mistakes!!!!!
I have been looking at ships manifests for Canada for the year the census gave- I have looked at about 150 pages of passenger lists and am only abount one tenth of the way through the one year!
Talk about fed up of names and dates today!

Thank you for the 1930 census data - it was a real eye opener and any more info would be totally fab.
