John SHIPE/SHIVE/whatever

I am researching the family of John Shive of Carbon County, who may be connected to my Bucks County group. John (as "John Scheib") and wife Sarah were married in Weissport in 1844. They had children Amanda (1845), Julia (1848), Sophia (1849), Mahlon(1851), William (1853), Sarah (1854), Eliza (1856), Edward (1859), Charles (1864), and Asa (1869). The family shows up in census records as :

1850 - Shipe, Lower Towamensing
1870 - Scheive, East Mauch Chunk
1880 - Shipe, Weatherly

John seems to have died before 1900. I found Edward and his family (as "Shive" in the Union cemetery in Weatherly. I suspect that there are others there as well, perhaps not marked. Religion-wise, they were probably German Reformed (now part of the UCC). I'm mostly interested in what happened to the children; but it'd also be nice to confirm or deny any link back to Bucks County
