I also would like to know if there are records. My husband was born in 1931 in Lehighton, Carbon Co.,PA and when he asked his mother who his father was, she told him he was crushed between two rail cars before he was born. Since his grandmother was a Fisher and his mother carried the Fisher name when he was born and there is no father listed on the birth certificate, he must have been born out of wedlock. If you find such records, I would love to know.
