David M. GARRETT, b. abt. 1836 in Centre Co.,PA. d. 1903 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PA
Catherine LONG b. abt 1836 in (Northampton Co....now Carbon Co.)PA. d. 1899 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., PA

David & Catherine were married August 6, 1862 in Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co., PA . David GARRETT enlisted three days later and was a Cpl. in Co. G of the 132nd PA Volunteers. After the Civil War he worked for the railroad as a fireman.

By 1870 they lived in Weatherly, Carbon Co. They had five children born in Weatherly:

1. Ella Jane Garrett, b. 1862 married to Michael Mitchell SHERIDAN
2. Mary Alice Garrett. b. 1864 married to Christ GRIER
3. Harry James Garrett b. 1865
4. Carrie Elizabeth Garrett, b. 1869 married to David A. Roberts
5. Lillie Dell Garrett, b. 1871 married to Thomas J. WILLIAMS
