Donegal McHugh's in Carbon County

Patricia, I have a Mary McHugh born 1823 in Donegal, immigrated to USA in 1845. She married in 1847 in Tamaqua, Schuylkill Co, PA to John Coyle, also of Donegal. They were in Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co by the 1850 census.

I don't have siblings or parents for either of them, but going by the Irish Naming System, Mary's parents would have been John and Margaret McHugh. Somewhere there is a Harkin connection as John and Mary named their second son, John Harkin Coyle (born in Summit Hill).

I don't know where in Donegal they were from, but my guess is around Falcarragh, Gweedore, Carrick areas.

By any chance, does my Mary McHugh fit into any of your McHughs?

Thank you for your time.

Dolly in California
