Nickerson Family In Cameron Co. 1859 And Beyond

Am looking for anyone researching the Nickerson Family of Cameron Co. My gg-grandfather left Maine in 1869/70 and went to PA. He first lived in Beech Creek, Clinton Co, and then was found later living in Potter Co. His name was William Nickerson, b. abt 1820 in Belfast, Waldo Co., ME. He was married to Abigail W. Burgess. I find them and many children living in Beech Creek in the 1870 Census. Their son George was in Cameron County in the 1900 and 1910 Census, in Shippen. In the 1920 he is living in Emporium. George had many siblings, and I don't know where most of them ended up. William married a second time to a woman in Potter Co., but I cannot find his death. His first wife, Abigail died and is buried in Wharton, Potter Co. His second wife, Sarah, is found in the 1930 Census in the Potter County Home. William is nowhere to be seen, and Sarah's record shows her to be widowed. I guess I am hoping to find that William may have lived in Cameron County with his son George after Sarah was hospitalized. If anyone knows of this family, I would love to hear from you.

Brenda
