He was Hungarian only by citizenship, ethnically he was a Slovak. Czechoslovakia did NOT exist until after WW I ended (1918). Slovakia was made up of the northern counties of the old Kingdom of Hungary.

PAVLISIN, root is Pavle, meaning Paul, SIN means son.
