JOHN LEVENTRY

Asking for info on a JOHN LEVENTRY born abt 1910...lived in Johnstown, PA in late 1920s and 1930 . He worked in Snyder County, PA in 1929 as a "construction worker" of some kind, when he met my Grandmother. She became pregnant and had his child ( my mother) in 1930 in Penns Creek, Snyder County, PA. My Grandmother was just 18. They did NOT marry and his name is not listed on my mothers birth certificate. She went by my grandmothers maiden last name. John Leventry did visit after her birth and paid my grandmother a cash settlement for my mothers care. ( In those days, the amount was alot). From censuses, I find only one John Leventry in the Johnstown area then, and he would have only been 17 at the time of my mothers birth. This could explain why he & my Grandmother did not marry. Other than this, that is all I know of this man, who was my biological Grandfather. I am hoping someone will read this and contact me with more info on JOHN LEVENTRY and his family and life. It would be wonderful information to have. Thanks to anyone who might be able to provide me with any info you can. Leslie ( Fleming) Lenhart
