Does anyone know of a Jack Gates from Cambria County or Johnstown who served in the Army during WWII and was stationed for a time in Westover, Maryland guarding German prisoners of war? Westover is on the Delmarva Peninsula in Somerset County, Maryland. He may have been friends with a man named "Dutch" Hartzler (Herbert Hartzler). Jack could also be a nickname for John Gates. Any information would be appreciated.
