I do not know about any places where Michael might have served in the war. I just never followed up that angle. Cornelius was the son of Andrew who died in Frederick Co., MD in 1784. I believe Andrew was a brother of Michael sr but I have no evidence to support that. Bartholomew seems to first show up in DEL as an indentured servant. He later settles in the West Twp Huntingdon Co area. His son Michael married Capt Michael's daughter Patience. I can find no connections between these families except the marriage. Bartholomew does not seem to have ever been thru MD and I have no evidence that Capt Mike was in West twp. But the kids had to meet somehow!! MIchael and Patience's first child was baptized at Conewago Chapel in Adams Co., PA. This is just across the border from Taneytown area. I can't figure out how with Michael growing up in Huntingdon and Patience's family moving to Cambria about 7 years before the birth of their first child, how she was baptized at Conewago? Did Conewago send out a circuit rider? Did Michael and Patience travel back to Taneytown area? What a mystery? I suppose Bartholomew could be a brother of Michael sr but I have no evidence. If he was and he was indentured in Del. then maybe the brothers came to Philadelphia and Bartholomew was bought by some farmer in Del. and Michael was bought by John Lemmon in Adams Co., PA. So many mysteries. I love this hobby. Notify Administrator about this message?
