Mary- Sorry for the delay (it's been over a month since your reply to my post) and I wanted to say "thank you!". I am going to follow your advice about the Butler Library genealogy room. Afraid to get my hopes up since I know there was another Daniel Shaner/Shanor in the area about the same time. But if the photo you mentioned in the Butler Co History book was of Daniel and ISABELL then it's certain to be my ancestor. This would be a major breakthrough for me and I will be forever in your debt!! Thanks so much for your time and effort. If you need any help in the Youngstown OH vicinity just say the word!
