Connoquenessing Twp questions

I obtained a copy of papers showing that my 3x gt grandmother, Isabella Shanor, purchased land from Thomas and Mary Cratty in Connoquenessing Twp in 1856. In an attempt to learn more about this property I "browsed" the 1850 and the 1860 census looking for the Shanor and Cratty surnames as well as the names of Matthew White and George Buchle whose property abutted the property of T. Cratty.
Well, I found those people on the 1850 census of Butler Co under EAST Connoquenessing. When I looked on the 1860 Butler Co census there was no such place as EAST Connoquenessing, but I did find some of the same names under Whitestown P.O. Connoquenessing.
Can somebody rid me of this headache by telling me if Whitestown, Connoquenessing is located in eastern portion of Connoquenessing Twp? Can you direct me to a place that might have detailed history records for this particular location?
I need to find a more soothing bungee jumping!
