Ships listing for a possible Johann Flinner dated 1836
Posted by: Neil Morgan (ID *****4822) Date: January 23, 2011 at 17:25:12
  of 1337

Attempting to find info concerning the following line found on ships record. name of ship was "Lucilla" from Bremen, Germany to Richmond, Virginia
20 May 1836

line name from occupation # in house

96 Johs Fl??e? Neuengronau joiner total 3*

notes on bottom of list indicate the following:

#96 1 man, 1 woman, 1 child from 1-4, total 3. In surname, letter after l could be i or u, next could be nn or m, ends with s or r, Flinnes or Flunnes or Flunner or Flinner or Flumer or Flumes or Flimes or Flimer.

Suspect this individual may have gone to Butler Co Pa. I understand there was an Adam Flinner with his mother coming to the US and settling in Butler Co at about this time. His brtother was Johann Flinner 1813-1/10/1885 who married Anna Barbara Roeder . their father was Martin Flinner.

I have given this ships listing person an age of 20 in 1836 therefore he may have been born abt 1816.
