The 1890 veteran census of Butler County shows a Daniel W. Graham who was a private in Company D, 11th PA Reserves 1861-1862 and Company B, 16th PA Heavy Artillery 1864-1865.

The 1850 census of Butler County shows a Daniel Graham 15 as the son of Alexander and Elizabeth. However there were 5 Daniel Grahams listed in the 1850 census of Butler County old enough to have served in the Civil War.

The 1860 census would indicate Alexander and Elizabeth had died. Only their children are listed. The Daniel who married Harriet was born ca 1833, listed as living in Allegheny County in 1860 with Harriet and I believe he is the same as the one in the 1890 veteran census. Both Daniels could have been in the same company and regiment. One survived the war and the other didn't.
