Looking for any information for my husband's paternal ancestors that came from the Butler County area - Neuberts and Graffs.
Howard Neubert (married to Mabel Ora Graff) had a butcher shop in Freeport.
He is buried in Saxonburg Cemetery.
These Neuberts are descendants of Carl and Wilhelmina Fisher Neubert.
...There is also story about the reason the family left Germany (not sure which part of Germany yet)
because the Kaiser wouldn't allow the familiy to raise Geese.
I believe this is the Graff side of the family (descendants of Henry and Elisabeth Grosch Baer Graff).
I'd REALLY like to know more about this geese story.
...Will appreciate ANYthing anyone can share.
