Seeking any/all info. concerning the name RAINIER. In 1809/1810, Amos Rainier was born to James Rainier and Drucilla ? in Bucks Co.,Pa. According to the 1860 census for Mathews Co.,Va...Amos was married to an Elizabeth A. and he is listed as from Bucks Co.,Pa. In 1866 Amos married again to an Louisa Ellen Foster of Mathews Co.,Va and his birth was given as Bucks,Pa ; parents given as James & Drucilla Rainier. According to the
11th Census of the U.S. for Mathews Co.Va.... Amos is listed as W. Amos Rainier, pilot of the U.S.S. Commodore Perry and born in Bucks Co.,Pa.
Children from both of his marriages are as follows : Marie/Mariah S., Mary E., Amos (Jr)., Thomas Oakley, John R., Drucilla Catherine and Nelson Rodney Rainier.
