Jane, Could you check your book for Francis Barclay born in 1771 or 1773? His parents were John Barclay and Anna Tate. I believe John settled in Bucks, was recruited for Company C of the 5th PA Regiment of Foot. According to records at the DAR library it was made of Bucks County men whereas the rest of the companies were from eastern counties. John and Anna settled in Franklin County after the war where the remaining children, 14 of them, were born. Confusion reigns at the moment as there was another John Barclay, a notable citizen, in Bucks but he apparently neither served in the army nor left. Thanks, Phil
