Hi Jane,
I have a HANNAH GILBERT who married a WILLIAM KIRK DOAN in the Bucks County, PA area. Their first child was born in 1865 so I would guess that they were married around 1864 or maybe earlier.

I do not know parents as of yet to Hannah, and I don't have a birth date for her yet. I would guess she was probably born around 1830's to 1840's or so. As she was the 2nd wife of William. I would guess back then they married a younger woman for their second wife. Especially in this case as they went on to have 6 more children, after he William had 9 with his first wife.

That left Hannah raising about 15 children in those days.

Please let me know if we might have a connection on the Gilbert side.
Thanks
Beth in MN
