Thank you for the atlas search. Those are all possible hypotheses.

My current working hypothesis, which I think is more likely, is that family oral tradition has crunched generations. I see this a lot and have at least two cases in which I can prove this happened. In this case, one generation was born in the original Freiburg, in Germany, and the next was born in Bucks County.
