Bucks Co. help please.

I'm going to be heading up to Bucks County to do some "last chance" research. If I can't tie my ggggg grandfather to the Bucks County line of Gilberts, I'm afraid we'll never know where he came from.

Does the Historical Society in Bucks County have a nice collection of books, or would I be better off at the library? I have a feeling that the only chance I stand of finding anything would be a historical account of the Gilbert family and how 2 or 3 of their sons left Bucks County for Newberry County, SC.

Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.
