William A. Bell of Center Square Towers, Doylestown, died Thursday at the Medical Center for the Aging in Doylestown Township. He was 86.
Mr. Bell was born in Ballymena, Cullybackery, Northern Ireland, the son of the late Alexander and Agnes Kennedy Bell.
He came to the United States in 1922, living in Feasterville and Southampton for many years prior to moving to Doylestown in 1975.
Mr. Bell served as a bank guard for over 35 years at Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS) offices in Philadelphia, Jenkintown and Southampton. He retired in 1966.
He is survived by two sons, John A. Bell of Mechanicsville and William A. Bell of Lansdale; a daughter Marjorie A Brittingham of Hatfield; a brother Adam K. Bell of Doylestown and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, 11 am at the Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, 182 W. Court St. Doylestown.
Memorial contributions may be made sent to the Lakeside Youth Services, PO Box L Willow Grove, 19090.
