I am a descendant of one Jerusha Doughty who wed John Williams in the Presbyterian Church in Newtown, Bucks on October 9, 1786. Together they had 10 children. Something (?) happened to John as she married one John Sise in early 1800s. Together they had one child, Elva David Sise b. 1807/1808. John changed his sir name to Sise but from what we are not sure. One family story was that John was a rabbi and another was that he was studying to be a catholic priest and left the church to marry Jerusha and was disowned by his family. I have all but disproved the 'catholic' theory but not the rabbi connection as yet.
Time permitting, could you see if the names and DOB of any of the children to John & Jerusha are available and the parentage of Jerusha and whatever happened to John.
Any time and consideration you can give my request will be deeply appreciated.

Thansk & regards,
Pat Healey Tkacik
