William Hewson - Alice Green marriage, Bucks Co, 1790s

My 4-great grandparents were William Hewson (Jr) and his wife, Alice Green. They were married sometime in the early 1790s, probably in Bucks County. They had a farm called Belle Meade, which was near Bristol. William Hewson served in the local militia. William and Alice Hewson had 4 children, daughters Mary, Anne and Alice and son William III. William Hewson died in 1802, in Vera Cruz, Mexico.
I am interested in learning more about the family of Alice Green. There is a suggestion that the family may have been Quaker, but I don't know. There are other suggestions that her father may have been a ship's captain, but again I don't know. It appears that Alice Green Hewson did not long survive her husband, but I do not know the circumstances or timing of her death. The children were raised by their uncle, Dr. Thomas Tickell Hewson, and their aunt, Elizabeth Hewson Caldwell.
I am also interested in learning why William Hewson was in Mexico in 1802, and what were the circumstances of his death.
