Do you have ancestors who migrated to Ontario Canada?
This book is extremely informative
In the year 1792, a proclamation was issued offering 200 acres to each immigrant who could show he was in a position to cultivate and improve the land in York County, Ontario Canada. This brought about a migration of Germans from Somerset County, Pennsylvania, along with other early settlers from Northern Pennsylvania and New York State. Closely followed by families from England, Scotland and Ireland.
The religious history of Vaughan Township, York County, Ontario is related through 74 narratives, one of each congregation or church that has formed since 1796. The accounts blend oral history with well documented research. It is a study in the social fabric and growth of these congregations.
