LOOK UP PLEASE! Joseph SCHLEGEL, Mechanicsville, Pa.
Posted by: Debbie Blakley (ID *****1742) Date: April 11, 2004 at 20:57:02

Hi,

I just received the birth certificate for my grandfather. On it, it has his fater as JOSEPH SCHLEGEL, born in Mechanicsville, Pa.

My grandfather, William Henry SCHLEGEL,was b. in 1914 and his birth record says that "his" father (JOSEPH SCHLEGEL)was aged 24. That means that Joseph, would have been born in abt. 1890 in Mechanicsville.

If someone has access to the 1880 Pa. census or the 1900 Pa. census for Mechanicsville, Bucks Co.,PA., could you see if you might locate my Joseph SCHLEGEL on the census? His wife's name was Cora Minehart or Minhard SCHLEGEL.
Many, many thanks! Debbie in Oklahoma
