Adams Family

Is anyone doing work on any of the Adams families of Bucks County? If so, I would like to hear from you. My gg grandfather was Jacob R. Adams (b 1830, d 1908). He married Margaret Landis in 1835. In 1850 he was living in a household that included, in addition to him, the following people: Jacob Adams 59, Christeena 55, Rebecca 17, Christeena 16, Matilda 7, Ruben 9, Ann 6, Elizabeth 1. They were living in Tinicum Twp on a farm valued at $2500.

There are several Jacobs among the descendents of Walter Adams, the brother of Henry Adams who was the progenitor of the Massachusetts Adams clan that gave rise to the two presidents. Walter's descendents lived in Bucks, several of them in Durham and Nockamixon Twps which are adjacent to Tinicum. I would like to be able to establish (or discount) a tie in with that family.

cheers, roy adams
