Susan,
Doing some research on my ggreat grandfather, I found that he was employed by the Nail Works. I know nothing about the facility, but I do have a story that was published in the "Sullivan Review" of Sept. 1880 that involves my great uncle William Hafner "Willie" who was killed at the Nail Works while playing there in 1880. He was five years old and the son of Charles William Hafner (born Switzerland 1838) and Ellen Kirwan (born Ireland 1846. Many of the Kirwans were in the Towanda area at that time. I have the obituary as well.
