Hello,

I am looking for more information on G. Manning Elsbree of Sayre. I believe he was born around 1875 in Athens, the son of Martha J. Grist and M. Finley Elsbree.

He is listed in the following newspaper article in 1900 as a 'professor' :

http://www.newspaperabstracts.com/link.php?id=5617

"The Epworth League will have a social next Friday evening at the M.E. parsonage.
Prof. G. Manning ELSBREE of Sayre will recite and Merton Beebe of Waverly will sing."

There is also some unconfirmed information that he gave an invocation at a U.S. presidential inaguration.

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.
