Anyone familiar with John R. McKeeby and his family? John married Adda (various spellings) Van Liew b.29 Sep 1860 d. 06 Aug 1894. John and Adda had one daughter who lived, Martha Minerva McKeeby. She married William Charles Taylor of Phildelphia in 1904, They had a son, Charles Frederick Taylor, who was my late husband's father.

Several McKeeby and Taylor family members are buried in the Oak Hill cemetery in Towanda.

Martha Minerva "Erva" McKeeby, whose mother died very young, was raised by her father and by her maternal Grandmother, Minerva Van Liew Hill. (Van Liew was her first married name. Her first husband, Frederick Van Liew died in the civil war.) I have not yet discovered her maiden name. Anyone know her maiden name? Minerva Van Liew Hill married George C. Hill of Burlington, PA.

Martha McKeeby had a good friend or relative named Helen Rockwell. I have portraits of both Helen Rockwell and of Martha "Erva" McKeeby as young, and very pretty women.

If anyone has further information I'd be happy to hear from you!

Jean C. Taylor
