I am making another desperate attempt to solve my Ames and Fuller family lines and now focusing on a bit of information found in the Civil War Pension papers of my Thomas Ames aka Thomas Havens. He states, in 1903, that he was married to (deceased) wife Lydia Fuller by Rev. Dr. Wilder in Springfield, PA. (no record in his possession, no dates, nada). I have assumed they married ca 1850 and have been trying to find more on this Rev. Dr. Wilder -is he the same as Dr. Theodore Wilder (1805-1882) mentioned in one of the Histories of Springfield, Bradford County? Did he both medically treat and marry people? Does he have any church records or records of marriages? I have seen none listed on the tri-counties web-site nor on the web-site for the Bradford Co. Historical Society that charges 30.00 for research.
