I am trying to locate members of the family, or descendants of Elizabeth Donnelly, who was a sister of my late grandfather John Donnelly.
Elizabeth Donnelly was born in Pittston, Luzerne County, PA, on November 17, 1890, the eighth of nine children, and the first daughter, born to Peter Donnelly and Bridget Devlin. This is according to the records of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Pittston.
The May 1928 obit of her brother Charles noted that one of his surviving sisters was Mrs. Peter Loux of Sayre. The June 1936 obit of her brother John also noted that a surviving sister was Mrs. Peter Loux of Sayre.
The November 1948 obit of her brother Peter noted that one of his surviving sisters was Mrs. Elizabeth Loux of Rummerfield, PA. The January 1954 obit of her brother James noted that one of the surviving sisters was Mrs. Peter Laux of Wyalusing.
The only other surviving sister of the Donnelly brothers was Marie.
