Name of St. Michael's Cemetery Has Been Changed to Birdsboro Cemetery
Posted by: Margaret Helminska (ID *****0803) Date: March 18, 2013 at 05:02:41

St. Michael's Cemetery, Birdsboro, has been renamed Birdsboro Cemetery. This happened within the last 10 years or so after the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem closed St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Birdsboro and the cemetery, originally owned by the church, was sold. The sign at the entrance to the cemetery reads simply "Birdsboro Cemetery" and there is nothing to indicate that it was once St. Michael's Cemetery. This could be very confusing to anyone looking for St. Michael's Cemetery who does not know about this change.

Burial records for the cemetery are available online at (and possibly other websites).
