I am researching Shane's of Philadelphia (Manayunk, Blockley, Spring Garden and Philly)
I have been stuck at Benjamin Francis Shane b.1824 Phil. residence in Manayunk 1850, d. 1864 Valley Forge. I'm trying to find his father who, according to census records, was born in Maryland (possibly emmigrated to Maryland).
I have an Edward Shane b. 1814 Maryland that I'm thinking may be a brother.
