REUNION - Thomas White - Boston Tea Party

Thomas White Reunion June 17-19 at the Bedford Quality Inn. Are you related to Thomas and Elizabeth (Jones) White? Cousins are coming from all over the US for this.

Thomas White, was born in 19 Mar 1739 in Kilkenny, Ireland, died September 13, 1820 near Robertsdale, Huntingdon Co., PA, and then buried in Evans Cemetery located in White's Church, Broad Top, Bedford Co., PA.

His descendants and members of patriot's societies created a monument to his memory there, which was unveiled July 4, 1889. The inscription on the monument reads: In Memory of Thomas White of the Boston Tea Party December 16,1773, and a Revolutionary Soldier and Patriot for American Independence, was born in Ireland, March 19, 1739 died Sept. 13, 1820, aged 61 yrs, __ mo's and 24 days. Soldier rest thy warfare, o'er dream of fighting fields no more. How sleep the brave who sink to rest. By all their country's wishes blest. The other side of the monument is the inscription in honor of Mrs. White, Elizabeth Jones, wife of Thomas White Born June 19, 1754, and died Feb. 2, 1844. She was the mother of 21 children, three of whom fought in the War of 1812-14.
