Does anyone know anything about William Drake & his family while in Harrison County.? I found William Drake in Southampton Twp.,Bedford Co.,PA. in the 1800 & 1810 census of Bedford Co.,PA. Then I find him in the 1820 & 1830
Harrison Co.,OH.census & the 1835 Tax List. He is not on the 1840 census & probably died. We believe William to be the father of my 2x great-grandfather,Thomas Drake, born 1810 MD.Thomas Drake married Hannah Browning on 25 Jan.1837 in Harrison Co.,OH. by the Rev.Samuel Skinner,Jr.
;the husband of Mary Drake born 1760 NJ. After the 1840 census Thomas & Hannah Drake moved to Monroe Co.,OH.& finished having their 10 children.
Their names were: William,Benjamin,John,Thomas Carter(my line),George Washington,Mary,Wesley,Frederick,Cassandra & Esther Ann Drake. By the 1870 census most of this family had migrated to Wapello Co.,IA. Only William,George & Thomas Carter Drake remained in OH.

Thanks for any help, connecting the dots, on my Drake line!

Sincerely,

Pam Drake
