Note:
In the 1900 census, Charlotte says she was born in February, 1832
and says that she has had 8 children but just 7 still survive by 1900.
By the 1910 census, it is 8 and 6.
Note: In the 1860 Potter twp, Centre county, Pa census there is a Samuel W. Stiver (born about 1819) and his wife Charlotte (born about 1833) with 2 month-old son Jacob A. Stiver and Samuel's mother Margaret (Shimp) Stiver (age 72). I believe that this is a mistake and that this is in fact George W. Stiver, another son of Margaret's. Son Samuel was born in 1809 and George W. was born in 1819. (In the 1910 census, Charlotte says that she has only been married one time). There is no sign of Jacob A. Stiver, born in 1860 and it is presumed he died before 1870. This would bring to 9 the number of children she had, so this doesn't quite match.
