Lloyd C. Goddard FORMERLY of WAMPUM
Lloyd C. Goddard, 100, of Avalon Care Center, formerly of Route 18, Wampum, died Friday, July 15, 2005, in the Jameson Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1905, in Red House, W.Va., he was a son of the late Charles W. and Nancy Kinder Goddard. He retired in 1970 working 24 years as a machinist with Standard Steel Specialty in Beaver Falls. He was a member of the Faith Country Chapel EMC in New Castle. He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting and enjoyed playing horseshoes. His wife, Erma L. Fulton Goddard, whom he married Nov. 28, 1925, preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 1990. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Goddard; three brothers, Charles, Ernie and Clifford Goddard, and three sisters, Dorothy Statton, Emma Thacher and Ruth Emmell. Survivors include a daughter, Maeola McConnell, New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, Winston and Marianne Goddard, Bend, Oreg.; a daughter and son-in-law, Bettie and Lee McAnlis, Fountain Hill, Ariz.; a daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Robert Walker, Union Township, Pa.; 26 grandchildren. He is also survived by over 100 great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; Edith Zackewicz and Ida Merriman, both of Beaver Falls, and two brothers, Lester "Ray" and Fred Goddard, both of Friendship Ridge. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, Wampum, where a service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2005, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Hammond of the Faith Country Chapel EMC officiating. Interment will be in Beaver Falls Cemetary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Faith Country Chapel, 3818 Old Butler Rd., New Castle, Pa. 16101
