WHAT ABOUT MY MOSES HAMPTON WHO WAS A REPRESENTATIVE OF PA.
Posted by: JANICE MERCER (ID *****9138) Date: January 29, 2003 at 17:32:59

Am looking for any information I can get on Moses Hampton. He was a Representative of Pennsylvania and was born in Beaver County, Pa. He was also a lawyer and a circuti court judge. Was married to a Van Atta. Had a son names James, who in turn had a son named Thomas Jefferson Hampton. Thomas married Sarah McCumber in Meigs County, Ohio. Had several children then moved to Illinois. Their son John Edward Hampton was born in Livingston County, Illinois and married Mariah Reynolds. John was my great grandfather. I have traced my Hampton line back as far as Thomas Jefferson Hampton but I still need to link him to Moses Hampton of Beaver County, Pa. I have hear say they were connected but have no verification. Would like to have verifiction before I post the info on my Hampton webpage.
Any little tidbit would be appreciated.
Thank you and have a nice day
Janice Hampton Mercer
