James Johnson, Beaver Co. PA, Early 1800
Posted by: Fred Johnson Date: January 25, 2000 at 11:40:55
  of 1473

Need some help. Been trying to locate a James Johnson, could be my GGG Grandfather. He was married to a Catherine. They had one known son, named Thompson. It is believed that James had brothers, namely Archibald and Abraham. James is listed on the 1802 Taxlist, First Moon Twp, Beavor Co. PA. James was in the PA Vol in the war of 1812. We believe our James died shortly after the War of 1812. Thompson's death certificate states that his father was James Johnson of PA. After James' death, we believe that his wife Catherine married his brother Archibald. Archibald and Catherine then moved to Ohio. There is also a David Johnson, who migrated w/ Thompson from PA to OH and then both to MI, David may have been a brother or cousin of Thompson's. Any leads will certainly be appreciated. Have lots of Johnson family info and willing to share. Please contact me directly at: fritzbil@softcom.net. thanks
