I'm sorry it took so long to reply. My husband's ggGrandfather was Samuel McCullough b. 1824,25 or 26. He was a twin. The letter I mentioned before says that Clare Potts was neighbor to Samuel's twin's daughter. Does that make sense? My Father-in-law thinks that one of the Potts married a McCullough in our line. He's not sure of that. It could be that the Potts where family friends.
Samuel M. McCullough m. Sarah Malissa Perrine. They lived in Mercer co and poss. Allegheny and Beaver co, PA.
By the way, Clare was a male. (Clare/Clair???) Thanks for responding.
