I am trying to piece together a family and not having much success. Antonio "Tony" Francisco Matzie (2 Dec 1868 in Italy and died 30 May 1934 in Ambridge) and Prudenza "Mary" Renvenuto, (b 30 June 1868 in Italy, died 8 Apr 1945 in Ambridge.

I found an obituary for Edward Joseph Matzie who was born 9 Nov 1845 and died in 1977. He says he is the son of Anthony and Prudence and at that time, the obituary says he has 3 brothers and one sister still alive. But I can't fit him into the family listed in the census records.
Anthony "Taw" Matzie b 16 Nov 1913 d 2006, in his obituary says his parents are Anthony and Prudence Matzie. It also says at the time of his death, 12 brothers and 3 sisters had died before him, and doesn't list any as still living. That means 16 kids!
I have looked for every online obituary or newspaper article that I can. I'm in California and this isn't my family so I don't have personal knowledge. I'm doing this for a friend. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone out there who might be able to fill in some blanks?
