I'm researching my gg-grandfather, John McCall of Mercer County, PA., b.1815 in Trumbull County, Ohio. I'm starting to believe that his family may have moved from Ohio to Beaver County, PA around 1818. I've seen several mentions of McCalls in Beaver County. There is mentioned in the History of Mercer Co., PA, of a John McCall of Beaver County. He had a daughter, Jane b.1814, who married James McCandless. There is also mentioned an Abner Crossman, who married Mary McCall, daughter of Alexander McCall, a soldier of the Revolutionary War. The book says Abner was a native of Beaver County. Mary and her father Alexander McCall may have lived there as well.
